Project Description

Client: Greater Heights Area Chamber of Commerce

Objective: The Heights Chamber needed a redesign of its website that is easy-to-maintain and is mobile-friendly, facilitating ease of use for Chamber the membership. The Chamber hosts more than 5,000 events throughout the year and required an event calendar that was easy to use for the Chamber staff and site visitors. The calendar must also be capable of processing online payments. Being a membership-driven organization, the client also required a member directory that supported membership renewals, listing updates maintainable by the listing owner and online payment processing.

Solution: Tell Your Tale migrated the client’s website from a proprietary content management system (CMS) called Adobe Business Catalyst that would no longer be supported by Adobe to WordPress, which is very easy-to-manage, highly customizable and can be easily adapted as the client’s needs change over time. Tell Your Tale designed and developed an easy-to-navigate and easy-to-maintain, responsive website, leveraging the client’s existing branding. Event management and registration are delivered through a tightly integrated event calendar extension to WordPress that provides fine detail for each event listing. The membership directory is also tightly integrated and provides member listings that can be managed by the membership or chamber staff. The membership directory listings support listing subscriptions combined with online payment processing functionality.
